YugaTech Great Gadget Giveaway

Yugatech probably the best tech blog in the Philippines is giving away tons of gadgets this Holidays. If you haven't heard of Yugatech it's either you have been living in a cave or have been spending most of your time in Facebook (ohhh wait they also have Facebook and Twitter so you better become a fan or follow them for the latest gadget news and reviews) . Better checkout their website because they are about to share truckloads of stuffs including dozens of Modu phones, a couple Msi wind laptops, 3g usb dongles and 120,000 worth of Globe pre-paid load cards. All in all their giving away over php300,00 worth of prizes plus some mystery prizes along the way.

Starting this week Yugatech will be doing a series of different contests for their “YugaTech Great Gadget Giveaway” with a major theme around it. It will be a simple contest with very easy mechanics so you better check it out and join because you might be the next lucky winner.

Finally the ps3 slim has arrived; it shows off a new design and also a new logo. It is smaller than the original ps3 and also lighter. It is still the same ps3 we’ve come to love or hate but only in a smaller package. The best thing about the new ps3 slim is its price tag, for only 299$ it’s a bargain considering that it has Blue-ray, Bluetooth and it is WIFI ready. Like its predecessor you can play mpeg videos and pictures by inserting your USB flash disk to the USB port just like in the XBOX 360.

Now let’s talk about the new design of the ps3 slim; it has a matte finish, you may like it or hate it but it depends on your taste, some will say that the older design is more elegant, I agree with that but look on the bright side at least when you touch your ps3 you won’t leave smudges and grease on it. The ps3 also got rid of the touch sensitive power button and replaced it with a real button. The fan or cooler fan of the ps3 slim is quieter compared to the old one but if you get near it you can still here its sound. When they made the ps3 slim they considered everything from changing the transistor design and even fit the voltage regulator within the ps3 slim.

Overall the ps3 slim is good, it has lesser power consumption, it is smaller and it’s cheaper. It comes with a 120 GB HDD, a six axis controller, it's WIFI ready, has Bluetooth and the same processor speed as its predecessor. The only thing that’s missing in the ps3 slim is its backward compatibility but it’s not all that bad you can still get a ps2 for 99$ and if you want you can still buy the earlier version of the ps3 which almost support full backward compatibility of ps2 games.

Well guys your dreams have been answered, the Sony ps3 slim is here, no more waiting for price cuts, it’s already as cheap as you want it to be. Will Sony’s console once again claim the title “king of the modern day consoles?” And end the console wars? Well we can’t answer it just yet only time will tell..

Sony Ericsson new handsets!! Satio, Aino and Yari

Basically these are new handsets that will be released this 4th quarter of 2009. The SE Satio has a 12.1 Mp camera and it has a full touch capability i think this will be their new iphone killer haha. The SE Aino is more focused on multimedia and it comes with a free bluetooth headset. The SE Yari is focuses more on games and some multimedia, correct me if i am wrong but i think the games works like the wii were they installed a accelerometer in the phone. All of the phones looks good and are very stylish, I'd love to get the SE Aino haha it looks very sleek and its a slide up fone.

Best Website for Geek looking to spend cash!~

One of my good friend informed me of a website called Thinkgeek.com which sells gadgets, toys and other items that will appeal well to geeks and ordinary people alike.
Everyone of us has this little geek voice within our selves that tell us that i want a light saber umbrella, an Ultimate 5 in 1 geek pen or a usb plasma ball.
Oh well i guess not but this site is still worth checking out. They sell lots of stuffs which you wont be able to find in your typical mall and most of it are really cool.
If only i have a million dollars then i would buy dozens of items from their shop.
