Buddha Pears Up for Grabs

These Buddha Pears aren't your ordinary pear as you can see it is shaped like Buddha(WooOOT). I wonder what would Siddhārtha Gautama think when he stumbles upon a tree filled with these pears. It's made by putting the fruits in a plastic mold casting shaped like Buddha. As the pears grows bigger and bigger it follows the form of the mold. I want to try one of these pears because it is said to bring good luck to those who eat it and it looks cute (^_^). These are more expensive than our ordinary pear because it took the farmer Gao Xianzhang 6 years to perfect the art of making Buddha shaped pears.
Maybe soon they can make fruits or even vegetables look like candies or some cute anime characters to encourage kids to eat their vegies and fruits.
